The childhood name of Gautam Buddha was Siddharth. He was the son of the king of Kapilvastu. Siddarth bereaved with the adversities of world, left his home and did great austerity and preached Buddhism. He gave principles of his religion in Astangmarg. There are numerous followers of Buddhism in countries like Ceylon, China, Japan, Sumatra, Burma etc.
